Rev. Dr. David Rohde

Head of Staff / Pastor

Pastor Dave joined WPC in 2017 as Head of Staff. He describes his calling simply: to follow Jesus, listen, lead, teach, and equip. A favorite passage is 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, with its themes of redemption, reconciliation, and calling all gathered into a single paragraph. Dave believes WPC has always shown Christ's love to the community in tangible ways, from the preschool to local and global mission partnerships to using the campus to bring shalom to the greater Conejo Valley; at its core, this church reminds people that they are loved by God and that God is still moving today. Away from church he spends much of his time with his wife and three kids, going on adventures, cooking and eating together, and the occasional lazy day around the house. He rides his bike most weeks, enjoys surfing, and is a huge baseball fan.

Rev. Faith Schierholt

Associate Pastor; Director of Youth Ministry & Mission

Pastor Faith serves as Associate Pastor here at WPC. She started as the Director of Youth Ministry and Mission in November 2022; she was ordained at this church in January 2024. She holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and has worked in youth ministry for more than a decade, beginning as a junior-high small-group leader. She has a heart for this ministry because it is the space where she first heard the Gospel and met people who loved God. She firmly believes that students are the church of today and tomorrow. She loves walking alongside young people as they grow into their faith and calling. Faith is married to her best friend, Klaus, and they share their home with a terrier-husky mix named Dodger and two little girls. Together they enjoy traveling, kayaking, camping, trips to Disneyland, and discovering new restaurants, and she also loves to exercise, bake, and play music.

Terry Monahan

Business Administrator, Emeritus

As Business Administrator, Terry was involved in nearly every operation of the campus, with an emphasis on finance and efficiency. She served WPC in 2009 and 2010, and again from 2017. What she loves most about WPC is the heartfelt intention each ministry brings, even when the chips are down. As a child she loved singing “Jesus Loves Me” at the top of her lungs while riding her tricycle, and that simple phrase still touches her heart and soul. When she isn't at WPC, Terry enjoys reading fiction, paddleboarding, kayaking, and bike riding, and she dreams of river cruising in Europe or windjammer sailing in the Caribbean with family.

Ed Smart

Director of Music Ministries

Ed describes his role as helping WPC worship God and serve others through music, and he has been part of Music Ministries since 2011. One of his favorite passages is Luke 17:11-18, the cleansing of the ten lepers; he hopes to share the faith and gratitude of the one Samaritan who returned to thank Jesus. Ed loves WPC's desire to serve and be involved in the mission field, both locally and internationally. His favorite films include Citizen Kane, The Mission, and North by Northwest, and one thing many people don't know is that his first job was as a ball boy for the NBA's Houston Rockets.

Dora Johnson

Administrative Manager

Dora is a lifelong Christian who has served in many departments and supported pastors for years. A space planner and project manager by trade, she assists Pastor Dave and the administrative staff and helps keep the church office running smoothly. She has two children and two grandchildren, and her hobbies include cooking and baking, live concerts, traveling, and the arts.

Brad Bietry

Organist / Pianist

Brad serves as WPC's organist and pianist. One of his favorite Bible stories is David and Goliath; he loves how the smaller, shorter David overcame the giant with God's help and strength. Besides Jesus and Moses, David is among his favorite people in Scripture: a musician, songwriter, and worship leader who often improvised on the harp to bring comfort to others. His favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” He also has a soft spot for the Rocky films and any movie about football or musicians.
