We are delighted to be part of your wedding day.
Our Sanctuary, with its stained glass and warm wood, offers a beautiful and reverent setting as two people commit themselves to each other in love before God. Here is how to begin and what to expect.
Our wedding staff
If you would like one of our pastors to officiate, you can schedule an initial interview to check availability. If you have your own pastor, they are welcome to officiate with the approval of our Head of Staff. We ask that every couple complete pre-marital counseling; some of our pastors provide this, and others can refer you to a professional Christian counselor.
Every wedding here works with our church Wedding Coordinator, who directs the rehearsal and ceremony alongside the officiating pastor and helps you personalize your service. An organist or pianist and a sound technician are also provided for your ceremony.
Rehearsals
Our Wedding Coordinator directs all rehearsals. Everyone taking part should attend and arrive on time. Most rehearsals last about an hour.
Flowers and decorations
- Nails, screws, and wire may not be used in decorating.
- Nothing may be placed on the pulpit, lectern, organ console, communion table, piano, or baptismal font.
- Please let the coordinator know when flowers will be delivered.
- Florists must finish and leave the Sanctuary clean ninety minutes before the ceremony.
- Please appoint someone to remove flowers and pew bows afterward, unless they are left for Sunday worship.
Photography and video
Pre-wedding photos conclude forty-five minutes before the start time. During the ceremony, the photographer takes time exposures from the rear of the Sanctuary, and flash photos of the recessional are welcome. Photos may continue for up to an hour afterward. Video cameras may be used without spotlights, from a stationary position chosen by the coordinator.
Good to know
- The Sanctuary seats about 300, and on-site receptions are available.
- WPC is a smoke-free and alcohol-free campus.
- No rice, confetti, or birdseed inside or around the church.
- Food and drink are not permitted in the Sanctuary.
- Only cloth aisle runners may be used.
